Art students were challenged this first week to flex their problem-solving muscles. To do this they were asked to work in small groups to create a floatation device that could hold weighted bolts only using the limited supplies given. To be successful at this, they needed to think outside of the box, experiment, collaborate, design, evaluate and redesign. These are the skills our art students will be building this year through their art projects. All our groups did a wonderful job, but it was duo AJ Christian and Charlotte Leber who came out on top with a device that held 11 heavy bolts!
